Ghana on the right track to qualify for 2026 World Cup - Baba Rahman

Ghana defender Abdul Baba Rahman remains hopeful about the Black Stars’ prospects of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

After a rough start, the team rebounded with wins over Mali and the Central African Republic, moving up to second place in Group I.

Speaking with BBC Africa, the POAK left-back expressed confidence in Ghana's young talent, acknowledging their recent misfortune but believing in their potential on and off the ball.

Rahman, who played in the 2022 World Cup, hopes to return to the tournament, which will be held in Canada, Mexico, and the U.S. in 2026. Ghana’s qualifiers continue in March 2025 against Chad and Madagascar.
