Former Ghana international Augustine Ahinful has attributed the Black Stars' failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations to poor coaching decisions by the Ghana Football Association (GFA). Ghana managed only three points from six matches, finishing at the bottom of their group.
Ahinful criticized the technical team's leadership, led by Otto Addo, for their cautious and overly defensive approach, particularly in home games. He argued that better coaching choices and proper structures could have changed the outcome.
While acknowledging that the current coaches are not the worst, Ahinful stressed that hiring top-tier coaches was essential for success.
Many fans and analysts share his sentiments, calling for a shake-up in leadership as Ghana seeks to rebuild and regain its status in African football.
