Ghana's Ambassador to Morocco, Her Excellency Charity Gbedawo, visited the Black Queens at the Ibis Hotel in Casablanca ahead of their friendly match against the Atlas Lionesses.
Accompanied by embassy staff, she congratulated the team on qualifying for the Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) and assured them of the government’s support.
Expressing confidence in their abilities, she encouraged the team to aim for success in July’s WAFCON. She also promised that the Ghanaian community in Morocco would rally behind them.
Black Queens captain Portia Boakye welcomed the delegation and affirmed the team’s commitment to performing well in both friendlies and the main tournament.
The squad is currently on a training tour in Morocco, preparing with matches against the Atlas Lionesses and AS FAR Rabat.
