Ghana’s Minister of Sports, Kofi Adams, has expressed serious concerns over the deteriorating state of sports in the country, describing it as "sick" and in dire need of revival.
He pointed out the decline, particularly after the Black Stars' failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Speaking on Asempa FM, Adams emphasized the need for collective efforts to restore the nation's sporting pride, noting that while Ghana boasts four African titles, its sports are in poor condition.
He urged Ghanaians to invest in and support sports to help revitalize it, highlighting that the senior national team’s struggles have negatively impacted other sports.
