Ghana will host the U-20 WAFU A&B Boys Cup in Accra this June. This follows the successful CAF African Schools Football Championship held in April.
The tournament will take place from June 15 to 30, 2025. It will include all 16 countries from West Africa. These countries are Cape Verde, The Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Mali, Liberia, Mauritania, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Niger, Nigeria, Togo, and Ghana.
This is the first time teams from WAFU A and B will compete together. Previously, these zones had separate competitions for U-20 qualifiers.
According to the Ghana Football Association, matches will be at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram. The grand final will be held at the University of Ghana Stadium in Accra.
The U-20 WAFU A&B Boys Cup aims to improve competition and develop football among youth in West Africa.
