Ghana is set to host the CAF African Schools Football Championship 2025 Continental Finals from April 21 to April 26 at the University of Ghana Stadium in Accra.
This marks the first time the final stage is held in West Africa, following previous editions in South Africa (2023) and Tanzania (2024).
Initiated in 2022 by CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe, the tournament has grown into Africa's largest youth football event, featuring 1.9 million young players from 46 nations.
Twelve teams (six boys’ and six girls’ teams) have qualified through zonal competitions.
With $10 million in funding from the Motsepe Foundation, prize money will support school infrastructure projects.
CAF has also introduced coaching, security, medical, and referee training programs to enhance grassroots football development.
