Ghanaian duo Samuel Rak-Sakyi and Josh Acheampong handed Chelsea starts against Astana

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has named two Ghanaians, midfielder Samuel Rak-Sakyi and defender Josh Acheampong, in his starting lineup for Thursday's UEFA Europa Conference League match against Astana. A third Ghanaian, Ato Ampah, is on the bench and could see playing time.

Maresca also confirmed progress in contract renewal talks for Acheampong, following a prolonged deadlock. Rak-Sakyi, 19, and Acheampong, 18, have represented England at youth level but are still eligible to play for Ghana.

Meanwhile, midfielder Cesare Casadei is suspended for the match due to a red card against Heidenheim. The match will take place at 3:30 pm GMT at the Ortalyq Stadium in Kazakhstan.
