Ghanaian referees Theophilus Aberenga Akugre and Asamoah Reginald Collins have been selected by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to participate in the Young Referees Course in Ivory Coast from March 3 to March 8, 2025.

The course is designed to enhance the skills of young referees by teaching modern officiating techniques, in-depth knowledge of the laws of the game, and providing practical match-handling experience.

This recognition highlights the growing reputation of Ghanaian referees on the international stage.

After completing the program, Akugre and Collins are expected to apply their knowledge to improve officiating standards in Ghana and pursue future CAF assignments.
