Ghanaian forward Kelvin Boateng joins Austria Wien on four-year deal

Ghanaian attacker Kelvin Boateng has signed with Austria Wien. He will join the Austrian Bundesliga side for the 2025/26 season.

The 25-year-old signed a four-year deal. This contract keeps him at the club until June 2029. He decided to leave First Vienna for this opportunity.

Boateng joined First Vienna in June 2023. He moved there permanently from Spartak Trnava after a loan at MFK Karvina.

In his first season, he had limited playing time in the second division. However, during the 2024/25 campaign, he excelled. He scored 12 goals and provided one assist in 20 games across all competitions.

His impressive performance led to his move to Austria Wien. The team finished third in the Bundesliga last season.

Boateng expressed excitement about joining Austria Wien. "The club has been really keen on me for a long time," he said.

He added that the management has followed his progress closely. "I can't wait to get to know my teammates and get started here," he stated.
