Ghanaian striker Jonathan Sowah has rejected an offer to join Tanzanian club Singida Black Stars, despite receiving approval from his current club, Al-Nasr SC.
This decision opens the door for South Africa's Kaizer Chiefs, who are in talks with Sowah's agent about a potential transfer.
Al-Nasr had agreed to a $220,000 transfer fee, and Sowah had previously agreed to personal terms with Singida.
However, the 24-year-old forward now aims for a move to Kaizer Chiefs, who see him as a key target.
Sowah's impressive record of 19 goals in 35 matches in the Ghana Premier League has attracted top clubs, and he is expected to make an impact in South Africa's league.
