FC Barcelona's young attacker Abdul Aziz Issah made his debut for Ghana's senior national team. He played against Trinidad and Tobago in the third-place game of the 2025 Unity Cup in London.
The 19-year-old entered the match in the 60th minute. He replaced Lawrence Agyekum, who had scored Ghana's third goal.
Issah received a call-up to the Black Stars after impressive performances at the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations. The Black Satellites reached the quarter-finals in that tournament.
Ghana finished the 2025 Unity Cup tournament with a third-place medal. They won decisively, beating Trinidad and Tobago 4-0 at Gtech Community Stadium.
The Black Stars started strong, scoring just five minutes into the match. Captain Jordan Ayew opened the scoring with a powerful shot from outside the box.
Razak Simpson doubled Ghana's lead six minutes later. He scored with a powerful header from a corner taken by Jordan Ayew.
Ghana continued their dominance when Mohammed Fuseini Gadafi scored just before halftime. His goal came from an excellent team build-up play.
Eight minutes into the second half, Lawrence Agyekum added another goal for Ghana. He struck through goalkeeper Jabari Hillaire’s legs to make it 4-0.
