The Ministry of Sports and Recreation has paid all salary arrears to Black Stars coach Otto Addo and his staff.
Otto Addo and his team had not been paid since October 2024. They worked on important international assignments during this time.
From September 5 to November 18, 2025, the team played six games. This was part of the unsuccessful 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.
In March, Otto Addo led Ghana to a 5-0 win over Chad. He also guided the team to a 3-0 victory over Madagascar in World Cup Qualifiers.
The payment issue has now been resolved. Otto Addo received $420,000 in salaries and contractual entitlements.
His assistants Joseph Laumann and John Paintsil were paid $75,000 and $64,864 respectively.
Goalkeepers trainer Abdul Fatawu Dauda received $19,459 after joining from Sudan.
Team coordinator Francis Bugri Tampuli also got $33,000 for April 2024 to March 2025.
These payments end a long period where coaches served without compensation. They represented the country in major international competitions.
