Pep Guardiola stated that Kevin De Bruyne's form in the second half of the season will be crucial to his future at Manchester City, as his contract expires in the summer.

De Bruyne, who has battled injuries over the past 18 months, is free to negotiate with foreign clubs. Guardiola emphasized that the midfielder’s consistency and fitness will determine whether he is offered a new deal.

Despite limited starts, De Bruyne remains a key player, leading the Premier League in chances created and expected assists per 90 minutes. Guardiola also discussed the possibility of signing new players in January but cautioned that it would be challenging. He praised James McAtee and Savinho, with both players expected to get more opportunities.
