Hakon Haraldsson scored the equalizer as Lille fought back to secure a 1-1 draw against Borussia Dortmund in their Champions League last-16 first-leg clash.
Dortmund dominated the first half and took the lead through Karim Adeyemi’s stunning half-volley from a corner.
Lille struggled before halftime but improved in the second half, with Jonathan David setting up Haraldsson, who finished past Gregor Kobel. Lille held on despite a late challenge from substitute Andre Gomes, which injured Daniel Svensson.
The French side, aiming for their first-ever quarter-final appearance, will be confident ahead of the return leg in France on March 12, having remained unbeaten at home against top European teams. Dortmund, last season’s runners-up, will need a strong performance to advance.
