Kumasi Asante Kotoko's head coach, Abdul Karim Zito, found positives in a goalless draw against Accra Hearts of Oak.
In a post-game interview, he reflected on missed chances. This was only Zito's second game as head coach after replacing Dr. Prosper Ogum. He expressed that winning would have boosted their title hopes.
“I would have been very happy if I had won this game,” he said. “We squandered chances and should have won, but it’s better than losing.”
The draw extends Kotoko's unbeaten streak against Hearts to five matches. They previously had four straight wins over their rivals.
Kotoko currently ranks fourth in the league with 51 points. They trail league leaders Nations FC by just three points (54).
