Leicester City manager Steve Cooper has indicated that Ghanaian forward Jordan Ayew might be fit for their Premier League clash with Chelsea this weekend.
Ayew sustained an injury during Ghana’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola, forcing him to miss the subsequent match against Niger. Despite the setback, he had earlier scored a crucial free-kick to secure a 1-1 draw with Angola.
Following his injury, Ayew returned to Leicester for assessment. Cooper confirmed the injury is less severe than initially feared, raising hopes for his availability on Saturday.
Ayew joined Leicester City this summer after seven years at Crystal Palace. Since his arrival, he has become a key player for the Foxes, contributing two goals in 10 Premier League appearances this season.
