He doesn’t get the recognition he deserves- Declan Rice on Thomas Partey ahead of PSG Clash

Declan Rice praised Thomas Partey, saying he deserves more recognition.

Rice spoke in a pre-game interview before Arsenal's UEFA Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain. Arsenal is trailing 1-0 from the first leg.

Partey missed the first leg due to suspension. His absence was felt as PSG dominated early and scored in the fourth minute through Ousmane Dembele.

Ahead of their big game on May 7, Rice expressed his admiration for Partey. He said, “The best thing about playing with Thomas is his calmness.”

Rice noted that there was much talk about Partey's talent before he joined Arsenal. He added, “He doesn’t always get the recognition he deserves.”

Rice feels lucky to play alongside Partey, who allows him to move freely on the field.

Partey is nearing the end of his contract with Arsenal. Reports indicate negotiations for a new deal are ongoing.
