He’s a rock on the field” – Former Genk striker praises Super Eagles hopeful Arokodare

Former Genk striker Patrick Goots has praised Nigerian forward Toluwalase Emmanuel Arokodare for his remarkable progress under coach Thorsten Fink.

Arokodare, who has contributed 13 goals and 4 assists in 20 games this season, has helped Genk lead the Belgian Pro League, one point ahead of Club Brugge.

Goots acknowledged Arokodare’s transformation, noting he initially struggled with injuries and fitness but has since become a vital player, excelling in duels and linking up well with teammates.

The 6ft 6in striker has already surpassed his goal tally from last season. Despite his form, Arokodare has yet to receive a Super Eagles call-up, though he remains on the radar of Nigeria's coach Augustine Eguavoen.
