Hearts of Oak renew interest in former Samartex winger Evans Osei Owusu

Accra Hearts of Oak are interested in winger Evans Osei Owusu. They want to strengthen their squad for the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.

The 24-year-old recently left FC Samartex 1996 after the season ended. He is now a key target for Hearts. Preliminary discussions have started between Hearts officials and his representatives. A formal offer is expected soon.

Osei Owusu is known for his speed and attacking skills. He had a great season with Samartex, scoring 11 goals and providing 8 assists in 27 games. His efforts helped the club win their first-ever Ghana Premier League title.

He played an important role in Samartex's counter-attacking strategy. He often scored crucial goals and provided assists during high-pressure matches. His strong performances have made him a sought-after free agent.

Hearts of Oak are rebuilding under new coach Aboubakar Ouattara. They finished outside the top four last season and need to improve. Ouattara aims to sign proven Premier League players, making Osei Owusu a perfect fit.

Negotiations are still in early stages, but competition exists from another league side interested in him. As the transfer window approaches, talks are expected to pick up speed soon.
