Roma secured a 4-1 victory over Sampdoria in the Coppa Italia Round of 16, advancing to face Milan in the quarter-finals.
Roma made several changes after their 2-0 loss to Como, with five players retained and Matthew Ryan making his debut in goal.
Sampdoria also rotated heavily. Roma dominated early, with Artem Dovbyk scoring twice (9’ and 19’), followed by Tommaso Baldanzi’s solo goal (24’).
Sampdoria pulled one back through a defensive error, with Yepes scoring (61’). Roma continued to press, with Matias Soule hitting the crossbar and Dovbyk denied a hat-trick by a save.
