Ollie Watkins marked his 29th birthday with a goal and an assist, but Aston Villa were held to a 2-2 draw by Brighton in a Premier League clash.
Brighton took the lead in the 12th minute through Simon Adingra, but Villa equalized in the 36th minute after a VAR-awarded penalty, with Watkins converting.
In the second half, Watkins set up Morgan Rogers for a fine goal to give Villa a 2-1 lead. However, Brighton equalized in the 81st minute when Tariq Lamptey scored a driven shot past Villa's keeper.
The draw left Villa in 9th place, three points off the Champions League spots, while Brighton stayed 10th.
