Kumasi Asante Kotoko's head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, is looking to use a longer break for preparation. This comes after a tough period for the team. Kotoko recently lost 2-0 to city rivals Nations FC. This defeat marks their fourth game without a win.
Before facing Nations FC, Kotoko had two goalless draws against Kpando Heart of Lions and Bechem United. They also suffered a 3-0 loss to Accra Lions.
In a post-game interview, Dr. Ogum noted that conceding goals is unusual for his team. He remains hopeful about the six-day break before playing Aduana Stars. He aims to end the winless streak during this time.
Dr. Ogum said, “This long week will help us look at issues critically.” He believes they can reshape the team's mentality, tactics, and physicality.
Kotoko will face 10th-ranked Aduana Stars on April 27 at Baba Yara Stadium.
