I am not affected by pressure anymore- Heart of Lions Head Coach Bashir Hayford

Kpando Heart of Lions head coach Bashir Hayford dismissed any pressure on his team. They are competing for the 2024-2025 Ghana Premier League title.

Hayford spoke in a pre-game interview before their match against Young Apostles. This game is scheduled for Sunday, May 25, at 15:00 GMT.

He mentioned that the team is feeling fatigued. They recently played to a goalless draw with Basake Holy Stars in Ayinase. Despite this, he does not feel pressured about the title chase.

“I’ve gone beyond pressure,” Hayford said. “We don’t want to struggle like last season, and that’s over.” He added that they are now contending for the league title without pressure.

“Pressure will be on those who planned to win the league,” he noted. “That’s where the pressure will come but not on us.”

Currently, Kpando Heart of Lions trails league leaders Nations FC by three points. Nations FC will face defending champions FC Samartex this weekend.
