I deeply regret getting involved in Ghana football - Dr. Kwame Kyei

Dr. Kwame Kyei, the bankroller of Nations FC, expressed "deep regret" about his involvement in Ghana football. This follows violent incidents during a match against Basake Holy Stars on Sunday.

Chairman Kyei and club president Mr. Divine Kyei Boadu were allegedly assaulted at the Ampain AAK II Arena. Nations FC abandoned the game due to what they called unfair officiating. They were unhappy with two controversial penalties awarded to the hosts.

"I have regretted getting involved in Ghana football," Dr. Kyei told Asempa FM. He added, "I have lost the passion for it." He hopes for change in the sport. He believes that simply complaining is not enough for older individuals.

The Ghana FA has not yet responded to this incident. A win for Nations FC would have given them their first-ever Premier League title.
