Ghana’s Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has vowed to collaborate with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to address the country’s football challenges.

Following Ghana’s poor performances in recent Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournaments and failure to qualify for the upcoming edition, Adams is committed to reviving the sport.

In an interview with Asempa FM, he emphasized that he does not view the GFA as the problem but sees all stakeholders as part of the solution.

He expressed optimism that past mistakes will not be repeated and pledged transparency in his engagements.

Adams is set to meet with the GFA this week ahead of Ghana’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar, as part of efforts to restore the nation’s footballing reputation.
