Pfeiffer Georgi fractured her neck and also broke her hand in the crash at the Tour de France Femmes
British road champion Pfeiffer Georgi has not watched footage of her crash at the 2023 Tour de France Femmes, where she fractured her neck and hand.
The 23-year-old crashed during a mass fall in the fifth stage of the race in August, spending 10 weeks in a neck brace.
Despite the traumatic event, Georgi viewed her recovery as an opportunity to focus on her successful season, which included winning her third national title, a fifth-place finish in the Olympic road race, and third place in Paris-Roubaix.
The crash marked her second major injury after fracturing her vertebrae in 2020. Georgi's recovery took longer than expected, with a three-month wait before she could return to the road.
