Hansi Flick praised his "incredible" Barcelona team after their dominant 5-2 victory over Real Madrid in the Supercopa de Espana final.
Barcelona raced to a 5-1 lead by halftime, despite Kylian Mbappe's early goal for Madrid. After goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny’s red card in the 56th minute, Madrid could only manage a response from Rodrygo. Flick, celebrating his first trophy as manager, said, "I'm proud to manage such an incredible team." Reflecting on the match, he noted, "We stick together and our aim is to learn from every game."
Despite Madrid having more shots, Barcelona were more clinical, with goals from Lamine Yamal, Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, and Alejandro Balde. Flick added, "Real made many mistakes, and we knew how to take advantage of them to control the match."
