Vision FC head coach Nana Agyemang has extended his condolences to the family of Francis Frimpong ‘Pooley’ and condemned the violence that led to his tragic death.
Pooley, an Asante Kotoko supporter, was fatally stabbed during a Ghana Premier League match between Nsoatreman and Kotoko on matchday 19, prompting the league’s temporary suspension.
Agyemang expressed deep sorrow over the incident, emphasizing that no one should lose their life while supporting the game.
He urged stakeholders to take stronger measures against hooliganism, hoping such tragedies never happen again in Ghana football.
In response, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Ghana Police Service have introduced new security training for recruits.
Additionally, Baba Yara and Legon Stadiums remain closed until safety standards improve. The league resumes this weekend, with Vision FC hosting Hearts of Lions.
