Ghana’s Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has praised Inspector General of Police Dr. George Akuffo Dampare for his proactive leadership in investigating the killing of Asante Kotoko supporter Francis Frimpong.

In an interview with *Starr FM*, Adams stressed the importance of resolving the case swiftly to ensure justice and restore public confidence.

Frimpong’s fatal stabbing has intensified nationwide calls to address sports-related violence.

Adams expressed satisfaction with the IGP’s commitment and assured that the case would not be abandoned.

He confirmed that arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing, emphasizing that no one involved will be protected.

The incident has drawn widespread attention, with football clubs, civil groups, and lawmakers demanding urgent measures to combat hooliganism in Ghanaian football.
