Sudan assistant coach Ignatius Osei-Fosu has expressed his desire to continue learning from head coach Kwesi Appiah but is open to leading the Black Stars if given Appiah’s blessing.
Osei-Fosu highlighted the importance of mentorship under Appiah, who has vast experience in African football.
He explained that he would only consider taking the Black Stars job if Appiah acknowledged his readiness after a year of collaboration and endorsed the move, likening it to a master blessing his servant.
However, he ruled out making such a decision unilaterally. Osei-Fosu played a vital role alongside Appiah in Sudan’s successful qualification for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, emphasizing his commitment to growth and teamwork under Appiah’s guidance.
