Otto Addo, head coach of Ghana's Black Stars, praised the Ghana Premier League. He is preparing the team for the Unity Cup.
The 2025 Unity Cup will be held at G-Tech Community Stadium in England. The tournament runs from May 28 to May 31. Four nations will compete: Ghana, Nigeria, Trinidad and Tobago, and Jamaica.
Four players from the Ghana League were selected for the squad. They are Kwame Opoku from Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Kamaridini Mamudu from Medeama SC, Benjamin Asare from Accra Hearts of Oak, and Razak Simpson from Nations FC. Otto Addo believes their selection shows the league's quality.
He stated that local players have consistently been part of recent squads. He rates the league highly and believes it prepares players well for competition. Addo looks forward to seeing them perform at this level.
