‘I sold my car and land to organize Ghana’s biggest boxing bout’ – Alex Ntiamoah

Box Office Sports Promotions CEO, Alex Ntiamoah, revealed the financial sacrifices he made to organize the 2014 boxing match between Bukom Banku and Ayitey Powers.

Despite securing commitments from the fighters, potential sponsors withdrew, leaving Ntiamoah to sell his car and land to fund the event.

With additional support from acquaintances, he managed to stage the bout at the Accra Sports Stadium, which drew large crowds and significant media attention.

Although he incurred financial losses and couldn't break even, Ntiamoah expressed satisfaction with the fight's impact on elevating Ghanaian boxing's profile.
