I turned down a chance to return to Black Stars - Alfred Duncan

Former Ghana midfielder Alfred Duncan revealed he turned down offers to return to the Black Stars after his 2019 international retirement.

Duncan, who debuted for Ghana in 2016, was approached by both of the last two national team coaches, but he declined, citing his decision to prioritize personal stability.

A major factor in his decision was the ability to spend more time with his family during international breaks, something he had missed while playing for Ghana.

Although it was a difficult choice, Duncan remained firm in his decision, valuing his family life over a return to the national team. He made nine appearances for Ghana before retiring.
