I was attacked by some gospel artistes; they took my album to cemetery - Cwesi Oteng

Gospel musician Cwesi Oteng recently shared his experiences in the music industry. He faced attacks from fellow musicians when he first emerged.

In an interview on Joy Prime’s Changes, he discussed his challenges. His unique style and sudden rise sparked envy among other artists. Many found it hard to accept his new approach to gospel music.

Cwesi alleged that some industry players feared he would overshadow them. He claimed that people took his debut album to cemeteries to block his success. His album included popular songs like "I Win" and "God Dey Bless Me."

He described entering the gospel scene as bringing a fresh idea. However, this also led to spiritual attacks and criticism from church members. Some gospel musicians felt threatened by his presence.

These challenges have impacted his career. It has become harder for his recent tracks to gain popularity. As a result, his name is fading among Ghanaian music lovers.

To overcome these obstacles, Cwesi decided to re-energize himself. He aims to produce music at his own pace without constant pressure. “Stardom is really my thing,” he said about taking breaks when needed.

Cwesi has released a new song titled "Favour." This song reminds believers of their blessings and encourages them to declare it daily.
