Kumasi Asante Kotoko's head coach, Abdul Karim Zito, remains hopeful. He aims to win the 2024-2025 Ghana Premier League title.
In a pre-game interview, he expressed optimism for Kotoko's chances. He believes there is still hope until the season ends.
Zito spoke ahead of a crucial match against rivals Accra Hearts of Oak. This match is scheduled for Sunday, May 4 at 15:00 GMT at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Kotoko currently ranks fourth in the league with 50 points. They are just three points behind league leaders Bibiani Gold Stars. Hearts of Oak sits sixth in the standings.
“We will fight for the league title,” Zito stated confidently. “I will never lose hope until it’s over.”
He emphasized that his players need to keep winning to close the gap on the leaders.
Zito recently debuted as Kotoko's head coach after replacing Dr. Prosper Ogum. His first game ended in a 1-0 victory over Aduana Stars, breaking a four-game losing streak for Kotoko.
