I will relinquish Ghana Basketball Federation position should I win GOC seat- Commodore-Toppar

Aurora Commodore-Toppar is running for Assistant Treasurer in the 2025 Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) Elections. She plans to resign from her role at the Ghana Basketball Federation if elected.

The GOC Elections are set for Saturday, April 26. As Treasurer of the Basketball Federation, she believes it’s best to focus on one position.

In an interview with Citi Sports, she expressed her commitment to work with any elected official. She emphasized that affiliations do not matter to her.

“I don’t think it will be in the best interest of myself or the Federation or GOC to hold two offices,” she said. If elected as Assistant Treasurer, she will mentor another woman to take over her position at the Basketball Federation.
