Veteran broadcaster Fiifi Banson has criticized Stephen Appiah's appointment as Vice Chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee, stating he would have declined the role if he were in Appiah’s position.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) recently named Appiah, former Black Stars captain and World Cup leader in 2006 and 2010, to oversee player relations. Speaking on Sporty FM, Banson argued that Appiah should have refused the position.
The committee, led by Dr. Randy Abbey as Chairman, includes Samuel Aboabire, Moses Armah, and Richard Nsenkyire.
Abbey will handle government engagements, Aboabire and Armah will manage operations and matchday logistics, and Nsenkyire will handle special duties. The team aims to enhance the Black Stars' performance and collaboration with stakeholders.
