Legendary Ghanaian footballer André Ayew attributes his longevity and success to his vast experience, calling it one of his greatest strengths.

The 35-year-old Le Havre forward has enjoyed a remarkable 17-year career for both club and country, continuing to compete at the highest level in French football.

"How long do you want to stay in the game? That's the question you need to answer for yourself," he told BBC Sport Africa. "Good players around you help, and as time goes on, you get smarter. You find spaces where, maybe in the past, you wouldn't because you can smell it."

Ayew's ability to adapt across different leagues and his leadership as Ghana's captain have kept him competitive, proving his enduring value in the sport.
