If Afenyo-Markin doesn’t present Ntim Fordjour today; we shall remove him from his house - Nii Lantey Vanderpuye

Nii Lantey Vanderpuye is the National Coordinator for the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP). He has warned Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin. Vanderpuye demands that Rev. John Ntim Fordjour be presented to the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) by 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 10.

If this directive is not followed, security forces will forcibly remove Ntim Fordjour from his home. This warning comes after an attempted arrest by NIB operatives on Wednesday. They went to Rev. Fordjour's residence over allegations of drug dealing and money laundering related to two aircraft at Kotoka International Airport.

The arrest was stopped without any official explanation. New Patriotic Party officials and supporters protested against the attempted arrest. Many believe the protests led to the operation being called off.

In an interview with Channel One TV, Vanderpuye explained that Afenyo-Markin requested the arrest be halted. He assured National Security that Rev. Fordjour would appear voluntarily for questioning by 10:00 a.m. Thursday.

Vanderpuye noted that this arrangement was agreed upon earlier between Afenyo-Markin and government officials. He emphasized that they expect the process to go smoothly.

Vanderpuye urged Afenyo-Markin to fulfill his responsibility in ensuring Rev. Fordjour’s appearance. He insisted that resolving this matter is important for peace.

“Somebody must advise Ntim Fordjour,” he said, allowing Afenyo-Markin one opportunity today. “By 10:00, he must present Ntim Fordjour for questioning,” Vanderpuye asserted.

He also condemned several Minority MPs who gathered at Rev. Fordjour’s residence to resist the operation. Vanderpuye described their behavior as unruly and disrespectful towards security forces.

“What they did yesterday was inappropriate and a total disrespect for security services,” he stated. Vanderpuye warned, “If the Minority Leader does not present him today, we shall remove him from his house.”
