UFC president Dana White confirmed that Conor McGregor’s potential return to the promotion would likely occur in 2024.
This follows McGregor being found liable for assault in a civil case, resulting in a €250,000 fine to Nikita Hand.
McGregor, who denied the allegations, plans to appeal. White declined to comment on the case but emphasized McGregor’s inactivity, stating any potential fight would happen next year.
McGregor has not fought since 2021 due to injuries. The UFC could theoretically ban him under its Athlete Conduct Policy, which prohibits violent or inappropriate behavior, but such sanctions are rare and usually related to in-ring conduct. The UFC often leaves external issues to authorities or athletic commissions.
