Inaki Williams injury confirmed; Black Stars player to miss Man United clash

Ghana forward Inaki Williams will not play in the UEFA Europa League semifinals.

He and his brother Nico will miss the match against Manchester United. Inaki suffered a muscle injury earlier this week. This was confirmed by Athletic Bilbao’s traveling team to Manchester.

Bilbao trails 3-0 on aggregate after losing the first leg at home. Inaki played 87 minutes in that match.

Missing the game on May 8 means Inaki cannot improve his season stats. The 30-year-old has scored 11 goals and provided nine assists this season. He has five goals and one assist in 12 Europa League games.

Bilbao hopes to overcome the deficit and reach the finals. The final will be held at their San Memes home venue.
