Inaki Williams wins La Liga MVP Award for second consecutive season

Ghana international Inaki Williams has won the Spanish La Liga African Player of the Year Award. This is his second consecutive win.

He competed against Villarreal's Pape Gueye and Enzo Boyomo from Osasuna. Williams secured the prestigious award for best African Player in Spain.

The 30-year-old scored six goals and provided eight assists. He achieved this in 35 league games for Athletic Club during the 2024/25 season.

Williams has spent his entire professional career with Bilbao. He switched his nationality to play for Ghana in 2022.

However, he was left out of Ghana's 23-man squad for the 2025 Unity Cup. Head coach Otto Addo plans to use this tournament to assess new players.
