Jakob Ingebrigtsen claimed his first senior title at the European Cross Country Championships in 202
Jakob Ingebrigtsen secured his third European Cross Country Championship title in four years with a dominant performance in Antalya, Turkey.
The 24-year-old Olympic 5,000m champion finished in 22 minutes 16 seconds, eight seconds ahead of Italy's Yemaneberhan Crippa, with Spain's Thierry Ndikumwenayo in third.
Rory Leonard's ninth-place finish helped Great Britain secure bronze in the men's team standings. In the women's senior race, Italy's Nadia Battocletti claimed gold, while Kate Axford's 10th place contributed to Britain's silver.
Great Britain also excelled in other categories: Will Barnicoat defended his men’s U23 title, Phoebe Anderson won the women’s U23 race, Innes Fitzgerald and Jess Bailey took gold and silver in the women’s U20s, and George Couttie claimed silver in the men’s U20s.
