Former RFEF President Angel Maria Villar is set to be charged with fraud and corruption following the conclusion of the 'Soule Case' investigation.

Villar allegedly favored his son, Gorka Villar, in business dealings while heading the Royal Spanish Football Federation.

Gorka was involved in Spain’s fixture selection and economic agreements through his agency, Sport Advisors, defrauding the RFEF out of €4.5 million from 2007 to 2017.

Gorka's minimum earnings from these deals were €367k. The investigation also highlights questionable transactions involving friendly matches with countries like South Korea, Chile, and others.

Additionally, there’s suspicion of €235k being misappropriated for services not provided. Five associates of Villar are also expected to face trial. This adds to the ongoing scandals within the RFEF leadership.
