Irish jockey Michael O'Sullivan, 24, has died after a fall during a race on February 6 at Thurles.
He had been in an induced coma at Cork University Hospital since the accident. O'Sullivan, who was riding Wee Charlie, was treated on the track before being airlifted to the hospital.
His family has expressed gratitude for the support received and has donated his organs.
O'Sullivan was a rising star, winning the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham and becoming Ireland’s champion conditional jockey.
Tributes have poured in from the racing community, including Willie Mullins, Barry Connell, AP McCoy, and Taoiseach Micheal Martin.
In his honor, racing events in Ireland have been canceled. His legacy as an inspiration to young jockeys will endure.
