Is Alexander Isak the Best Striker in the Premier League?

Alexander Isak's superb form for Newcastle United has earned widespread praise, with pundits calling him one of Europe’s top strikers.

In December, he scored eight Premier League goals, the most in the league, and created 19 chances from open play, becoming only the second Newcastle player to score eight goals in a month. This has led to speculation about a potential £150 million move, with Jamie Carragher hailing Isak as "the best striker in the Premier League right now."

Paul Merson also urged Arsenal to break the bank for him. Isak’s 12 league goals in 2024-25 are impressive, especially given his recent run of six consecutive goals. His 25 goals last season marked the best return by a Newcastle player since Alan Shearer in 2003-04.
