Swedru All Blacks have returned to the Ghana Premier League. Club attacker Rudolf Mensah believes this promotion was destined.
After their 3-0 win over New Edubiase in the Access Bank Division One League, Mensah praised the team's resilience and commitment. He also thanked fans for their unwavering support throughout the season.
Mensah had an impressive debut season, scoring 24 goals in 25 matches. He feels their rise to the top tier was written in the stars.
“It’s great to be part of history,” he said. “We are elated to lead Swedru All Blacks back into the Ghana Premier League after 16 years.”
Swedru All Blacks is a storied club with a legacy dating back to the 1930s. They had been in lower divisions for over a decade. However, new management and investments have transformed the team.
Now that they are in the Ghanaian top flight, All Blacks will prepare for life in the Premier League. They will compete against elite clubs like Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko.
“We’re not just going to make up numbers,” Mensah stated. “We are here to compete and restore pride for Swedru All Blacks.”
Fans are celebrating in Swedru, with streets adorned in black and white colors. This return marks a new chapter for the club and hope for its supporters.
