It’s 50/50 - Jonathan David opens the door to staying at Lille

Jonathan David spoke to La Voix du Nord about the possibility of staying at Lille OSC beyond his current contract, which expires at the end of the season.

While he can discuss pre-contract agreements with other clubs from January 1, 2025, David noted that talks with Lille about an extension are ongoing: “As the president, Olivier Létanghas said many times, there are talks. We are speaking but no decision has been made. We are still speaking, the door is never closed. It’s 50/50.”

Despite speculation of a big move, including to Barcelona, David clarified that a transfer to the Spanish club is unlikely, as they have not been convinced to pursue him.
