**George Quaye Urges Artistes to Engage with TGMA**
George Quaye, former head of communications for Charterhouse, has a message. He encourages artistes to take an interest in the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).
Some artistes have complained about the submission and nomination process. In response, Quaye spoke on Daybreak Hitz. He said that artistes should feel ashamed if they are unaware of how to participate.
Quaye compared this situation to submitting works for the Grammys. He asked if musicians would seek help for that process. "If I were a musician, I'd be embarrassed to admit I don't know how," he told Andy Dosty.
He pointed out that information is available on the TGMA website. Musicians must take the initiative to learn and submit their work correctly.
"Should Robert come to your house and teach you?" he questioned. The awards have been around for 25 years, he noted. If you can't do it yourself, find someone who can help.
Quaye expressed frustration at those who complain publicly without trying first. "You must be ashamed of yourself," he said emphatically. With modern technology, there are no excuses for not finding information easily.
