It’s time to stop protecting mediocrity, banish egos, and demand accountability

Former Hearts of Oak coach Kim Grant has called for the dismissal of Black Stars head coach Otto Addo after Ghana failed to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.

Grant criticized Addo's tactical decisions, stating they reflect a lack of experience and failed to maximize the team’s potential.

The Black Stars finished bottom of Group F without a win, marking Ghana’s first AFCON absence in 21 years.

Grant expressed frustration over the protection of the technical staff despite the team's poor performance and warned that retaining them could lead to further embarrassment. The Ghana Football Association (GFA) will meet to discuss Addo’s future.
